Musée Schoelcher (24 rue Peynier, Pointe-à-Pitre, Grande-Terre)—this museum in Pointe-à-Pitre’s is in honor of the Alsace, France native who was behind the movement to abolish slavery in the French West Indies during the 19th century. This museum ‘s exhibit traces his life and work, as well as displaying some of his personal possessions. Admission: €2 (adult), €1 (child). Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Closed Saturdays & Sundays.
